New mini kit collection
Often people ask me if they can make my kits if they've never embroidered before. Usually my answer is that it depends on whether they think they can or not. Some people pick up one of the most complicated kits, finish it and come back for more, while others get stuck with the feeling that it is too hard. There is definitely a learning curve to embroidery, but the nice thing is that you can also learn stitches as you go and the actual act of embroidery, whether you have 30 years of experience or are just starting out, is a fun and relaxing activity.
Nevertheless, I have long wanted to be able to offer smaller and easier patterns for beginners, ones that focus on just a few stitches and which don't take as long to make. Most of my patterns include wallpaper or fabric designs and these new mini kits are no exception. Four feature interior rooms and four use white stitches on pre-printed coloured fabric. Each of the kits comes with a brochure with detailed diagrams and instructions on how to make each stitch and some of them also have a link to online tutorials for each stitch. They are made with the same high quality materials as my bigger kits, with sturdy beech wood hoops, cotton fabric and DMC embroidery thread.
If you are newer to embroidery or just want a quick project, these are ideal! Check out the whole collection here.
