Bottensöm is a Swedish embroidery technique for filling areas where stitches are pulled and secured into place to create the pattern. This stitch is highly customisable.

This is another variation of plain woven stitch that creates a twill pattern. Using a blunt needle for the weaving makes it easier not to snag the needle in the thread.
