Having lived in five different countries and moved over 80 times, I draw inspiration from the different places that I’ve called home. I believe that the act of making something by hand, with quality materials and bold colors, brings joy and relaxation. I grew up in a culture with a focus on craftsmanship and mindfully using the materials around us—whether to build a house or make a toy—had a huge impact on me. Once I had children of my own and experienced a seemingly endless onslaught of plastic toys, I became increasingly aware of the importance of choosing quality and beauty with care. I use making and creativity to ground myself, connect with places, process memory, and work through emotions. Through my patterns and courses, I hope to share those experiences with you!
