Start with a trellis with double threads: first do all the vertical stitches and then all the horizontal stitches. Next, weave in and out as shown. The stitches will cross over each other on top of the horizontal stitches and underneath the vertical stitches creating a rattan weave. Diagrams are included in all the written patterns.
