A Day of Slow Stitching in the Garden

Spend a day of making, gathering inspiration and creating something beautiful. Learn embroidery surrounded by nature and good company.
The workshop takes place at my home studio, a light-filled studio with large sliding doors opening out into the garden right at the edge of the forest. We'll begin the morning with a two-hour stitch sampler, learning 6–8 essential embroidery stitches with all materials provided. By the end of the morning session you will have a solid foundation and a sampler to keep.
We break for a homemade lunch of soup and bread before heading outside for a walk through the forest and a wander through the garden, looking for shapes, colours and textures that catch your eye.
The afternoon is yours to create: time to sketch and plan, then a guided embroidery piece inspired by what you found outside. You'll have a full palette of threads to choose from, a prompt to spark your ideas, and guidance from me throughout.
You'll leave with your sampler, your finished piece, a workbook covering every stitch you've learned, and access to my online stitch video library to revisit at home.
